Gigaset AG’s 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM)

5. June 2020 Published by Jana Greyling

Gigaset AG staged its first virtual Annual General Meeting (Gigaset AGM) at the Haus der Bayerischen Wirtschaft in Munich on June 4, 2020. This new form was necessitated by the coronavirus pandemic and the bans on contact still in force.

Gigaset AG also held its last Annual General Meetings at the Haus der Bayerischen Wirtschaft in Munich, but always in the presence of shareholders and invited guests. This time, the virtual AGM was staged only in front of a camera, a handful of technicians and representatives from Gigaset.

How the Gigaset AGM went

After words of welcome by the meeting chairwoman and member of the Supervisory Board Barbara Münch, CEO Klaus Weßing and CFO Tom Schuchardt held their speeches. Before all the other items on the agenda were opened and voted on, the Executive Board replied to the questions submitted by the shareholders’ associations DSW and SdK and all other questions from individual shareholders.

“All in all, the Annual General Meeting went off flawlessly and with no technical hitches at all,” said Klaus Weßing. “We also thank the shareholders for their trust in our work. That trust is demonstrated by the results of the votes on the items on the agenda.”

Short interview

After the Annual General Meeting, a short interview with Klaus Weßing and Tom Schuchardt was filmed in the garden of the Haus der Bayerischen Wirtschaft, in which the two board members once more discussed the coronavirus issue and the outlook for 2020.
