Gigaset will be represented six times at the IFA 2019: During the world’s largest technology trade fair from September 6th to 11th in Berlin, the company will present products at the booths of its partners – from Amazon Alexa to Conrad Connect, from KOMSA to EURONICS. Highlight products from the fields of smart home, smartphones and business solutions are also included. With a broad portfolio, Gigaset once again proves its outstanding position in the communications market.
With nearly 250,000 visitors and more than 1,800 exhibitors, the IFA is the world’s leading consumer electronics and home appliances exhibition. “Given these figures, the IFA is more important than the CES in Las Vegas or the MWC in Barcelona – a must for us as a company,” said Klaus Weßing, CEO of Gigaset AG. The ling-established company from Bocholt in North Rhine-Westphalia is not only the European market leader in cordless landline telephones, but has also been successful in the growth areas of smart homes and smartphones since several years.

“The IFA is the perfect platform for our enormously diversified portfolio – starting from single usage products, to a complete Gigaset Eco-System with many points of contact throughout the interconnected household”, continues Weßing. For this reason, Gigaset has deliberately opted for a decentralized IFA presence in order to stage its own solutions in the right environment. Gigaset will showcase its products and services at the stands of a total of six strategic partners.
Smartphone Highlights
The success story “Made in Bocholt” continues. With the GS195, Gigaset has introduced its third smartphone, which is manufactured at Bocholt, Germany. The design smartphone has a glass back, a strong battery, a large 6.18” Full HD+ display and a first-class price-performance ratio.
Also on show at the IFA is the brand new ruggedized smartphone GX290 for extreme conditions at work and outdoor. The two-component TPU injection-molded housing is reinforced by a sturdy metal frame and also withstands a fall into the water basin or on hard ground.
Smart home highlights
For years, smart home alarm systems from Gigaset have ensured home security. The holistic approach of Gigaset is particularly evident in the smart home sector: If the smart home app reports a suspicion of burglary, the user has the option of using the service Gigaset smart security guard to send the employee of a security service directly to his home – which makes one possible Cooperation with the Axa Insurance Group.
The intelligent Gigaset smart care system supports elderly people to live independently at home for as long as possible. With two new starter packages and a new tariff model, Gigaset is now making the step into a thinking home easier. The smart thermostats, plugs and the Gigaset smart button make the home more comfortable.
A world novelty can also be seen at IFA: The Smart Speaker L800HX is a voice-activated hands-free telephone with Amazon Alexa integration. The device can be connected like any other handset with any DECT base station and any compatible router – for real landline telephony in the best voice quality.
Phones Highlights
With its landline phones, Gigaset is the market leader in Europe. In addition to the excellent quality and user-friendliness of the products, this is due to the fact that Gigaset is actively involved in actively shaping the fixed-network market. IP telephony offers the possibility of operating cordless handsets directly on a router. However, the manufacturers have not been suitable for a uniform standard that allows calls in HD Voice. The Gigaset universal handsets are compatible with all major routers – no matter what protocol they use. These devices can be recognized by the abbreviation “HX“.
Gigaset is also opening up new opportunities for small and medium-sized companies with its communication solutions for business customers. The new N670IP PRO DECT single cell supports up to 20 users, SIP accounts and handsets as well as eight simultaneous calls. If the size of the organization changes in area and number of participants, the N670IP PRO can be upgraded to a multi-cell upgrade license. Additional base stations cover several floors or buildings and ensure continuous accessibility. This expansion capability makes the N670IP PRO particularly interesting for growing and emerging businesses.
