Gigaset smartphone repairs now also available on the go

Gigaset is now cooperating with the smartphone service partner Phone Service Center (PSC). As a result, the telecommunications company is expanding its range of services together with the well-known repair specialist and enabling customers to have their Gigaset smartphones repaired right away in five cities throughout Germany.

Against the backdrop of today’s throw-away society, Gigaset has taken a conscious decision to cooperate with Phone Service Center. The objective: to repair instead of replace. Gigaset now offers its customers a personal point of contact if their phone needs to be repaired. Five Phone Service Center outlets in various cities guarantee rapid assistance if their display cracks or they have problems with the touchscreen or operating system. Gigaset smartphones can now be taken to locations in Stuttgart, Munich, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Berlin and repaired on the spot, usually within an hour.

“As part of our service concept, we’ve always asked ourselves: How can we ensure that customers are without their phone for as short a time as possible if it needs to be repaired? Repairing phones at our Bocholt factory was not enough, despite the great speed at which we accomplish that,” says Christian Eiting, Head of international Repair at Gigaset. “Now customers in some cities don’t need to send in their smartphone to be repaired.”

As a result, Gigaset is also helping to boost sustainability when it comes to smartphones. Producing smartphones in Germany not only saves resources, but also means far more complex repairs can be carried out, which is likewise more resource-efficient.

With its Phone Service Centers, Phone Service GmbH is committed to repairing smartphones on the spot within 60 minutes, where possible, at its repair shops. That means customers can wait for their smartphone to be repaired and take it home with them right away.

The partnership is also confirmation of Gigaset’s commercial success: Its smartphones have gained such a large market share in Germany that partners like PCS are also interested in cooperating with it.
