Gigaset Professional IP DECT systems receive Yeastar certification

3. March 2020 Published by Raphael Doerr

As a result of intensified cooperation during the recent months Gigaset and Yeastar, a global provider of cloud-based and on-premises VoIP PBX systems for the SME segment, have widely enhanced the support of the Gigaset IP DECT single and multi-cell systems N670 IP PRO and N870 IP PRO by auto-provisioning them on the Yeastar S-Series VoIP PBX systems.

Auto provisioning as a striking argument

One of the most important functions of a modern telephone system is the direct support of IP telephones via auto provisioning. IP telephones can be operated on almost all telephone systems based on manual configuration. However, real comfort is only achieved if the telephone model is also supported by the telephone system and set up automatically. At the same time, this comfort feature significantly reduces the installation and set-up costs that arise when commissioning a new telephone system. Accordingly, there is great interest on the part of providers of telephone systems and IP telephone providers from Gigaset in obtaining certification on various systems.

Yeastar S-SeriesAfter successfully passing interoperability tests with the VoIP telephone systems of the Yeastar S-Series PBX, the firmware version 30.13.0.15 and Auto Provision version 1.8.24, in addition to the already supported IP desktop telephones of the Gigaset Maxwell series, also includes the IP DECT systems N670 IP PRO and N870 IP PRO incl fully supports the DECT S650H, R650H and SL750H handsets. The complete portfolio of the Gigaset Professional product range can thus be made available to the system automatically, conveniently and quickly. With the resulting simplification in the installation of the base stations and handsets, joint customers benefit from the time saved when configuring multiple end devices and have the option of performing location-independent facilities and maintenance.

Alan Shen, CEO at Yeastar for the certification of the Gigaset IP-DECT systems: “We are very happy to be working with Gigaset. The Gigaset Professional DECT phones were developed specifically for the growing target group of SMEs. Yeastar targeted the same market and carried out an appropriate certification of the Gigaset products for its PBX system at an early stage. Thanks to the targeted and intensive collaboration, all VoIP functions of the Yeastar S series VoIP telephone system are now complete with Gigaset N670 IP PRO and N870 IP PRO. The automatic registration of additional Gigaset phones in the Yeastar PBX system now works quickly and easily. ”

Eric Baremans, Senior Manager Interop and Technical Sales at Gigaset on working with Yeastar: “The cooperation between Yeastar and Gigaset creates trust among our common resellers. Through the certification of our IP-DECT solutions on the IP-PBX systems from Yeastar, our joint customers benefit from the possibility to easily use the Gigaset pro IP DECT single and multi-cells as well as the associated Gigaset Professional handsets in the communication solution to integrate with the end customer. After the implementation of our Gigaset Maxwell series IP desktop portfolio, the integration of the N670 IP PRO and N870 IP PRO single and multi-cells is another important step for further cooperation with Yeastar and the success of a joint solution offering. ”
