Climate change has top priority

30. March 2023 Published by Raphael Doerr

Climate change is one of the top three priorities in 2023 for board members of German companies. That is one of the findings of Deloitte’s CxO Sustainability Survey 2023, which was presented at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos. 76 percent of the German companies surveyed have increased their investments in sustainability, one-fifth of them even by 20 percent or more. 60 percent expect climate change to have a big or very big impact on their strategy and operations over the next three years.

Taking responsibility today for the world of tomorrow

Climate change is also very high on Gigaset’s agenda. With its new “Fair for Future” seal of attentiveness, the company is documenting its efforts and successes in tackling important challenges of the future. We at Gigaset have long been committed to equitable environmental practices. For many decades, we have made our products in the center of Germany, namely in Bocholt in Westphalia: with green electricity, recycled or recyclable plastic and paper, little water and the lowest possible CO2 emissions.

Gigaset has decades of experience in the manufacture of high-quality communications solutions and technologies. We produce in the heart of Germany and we want to keep it that way. Products with a long service life, short distribution channels and social responsibility are important to us. We also stand for that with our seal of quality “Made in Germany”. Our “Fair for Future” attentiveness seal is a logical continuation: It documents our activities in terms of fairness, sustainability and future tasks. Sustainability is not a buzzword for Gigaset, but an ongoing process: We want to constantly improve, protect the environment, conserve resources, deliver quality, enable recycling and promote regionality.
