Gigaset rated as a very attractive employer by WELT and ServiceValue

21. December 2021 Published by Raphael Doerr

Feeling at home at work is a relevant factor in choosing a new employer, and not just since New Work. Whether at home or in the office – we spend most of our everyday life at work. That’s why creating an authentic image and the necessary transparency is very important at the start and even before the recruitment process. In cooperation with WELT, the analysis institute ServiceValue examined what companies present themselves authentically and are especially attractive to employees in a large nationwide study. Gigaset was rated as a “very attractive” employer in the industrial sector in the study.

As part of the study, German citizens assessed a total of 3,953 companies from the service, retail and industry sectors in terms of their attractiveness as employers. All respondents were asked to state which companies they knew or which companies they could assess as an employer.

The study comprised a large number of surveys intended to ascertain the company’s image and its appeal as an employer. The persons surveyed assessed the companies in question using a scale of five responses:

  • Excellent (1)
  • Very good (2)
  • Good (3)
  • Moderate (4)
  • Poor (5)

After the results had been analyzed, an unweighted average value was formed for each company and used to determine its position in the rankings. Companies with above-average ratings were awarded the title “very attractive.” Gigaset’s average was 2.75 and so it is one of those companies to win this accolade.

“We’re delighted and feel proud that we’re perceived so positively as an employer,” says Christian Kommelter, SVP Human Resources at Gigaset. “We believe it’s very important for employees to be satisfied at work and with their employer. That makes Gigaset attractive to potential new employees and trainees. We aim to capitalize on our good reputation to recruit new employees and young talents and so continue propounding our values such as ‘innovation,’ ‘sustainability’ and ‘Made in Germany.’”
